About the San Ramon Arts Foundation

Founded in 2000 the San Ramon Arts Foundation (SRAF) was established as a tax-exempt organization 501 (c)(3) to encourage, support and promote the arts that enhance the quality of life in San Ramon.

The funds generated from special events and membership dues are awarded to local schools for music and theater programs, for citywide public art projects, and for community musical events. The SRAF also supports the San Ramon Community Theater which presents three productions yearly in the Front Row Theatre, an intimate theatre housed in the Dougherty Station Community Center. Corporate sponsors help offset the costs of major art events.

Lead by a volunteer Board, the Arts Foundation awards grants to individual artists and art organizations that enrich the San Ramon community. The grant applications for 2008 will be available in February and awards will be announced in summer.

Membership support isavailable to community members, artists, and corporations. See membership for details.
