San Ramon Sing-Along Messiah Speaks to the Soul and Delights the Audience

San Ramon Art Foundation presented the San Ramon Sing Along Messiah Saturday evening to a crowd of 350 people in the new Performing Arts Center in Dougherty Valley.   Timothy Smith conducted the 30 singers who made up the chorus, four soloists and the 35-piece Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra.  It was a beautifully orchestrated evening of inspiration and singing of this once a year musical tribute to the holiday season.

The San Ramon Sing Along Messiah had been absent from San Ramon for the last two years until the San Ramon Arts Foundation became involved to organize and fully fund the project last year. “We will stay with the long tradition established in prior years of bringing the Sing Along Messiah to San Ramon in December. The residents missed the production and were delighted that the Messiah has returned.” says Mark Ballock president of the San Ramon Arts Foundation.  “The 35 piece Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra and the professional soloists and the dedicated chorus made this production of the Messiah a true delight to behold” says Will Doerlich vice president of the San Ramon Arts Foundation.

The Arts Foundation is planning for the 2008 production of the Sing Along Messiah, which promises to be exceptionally inspirational.
