Jo-Lynn Mull Jo-Lynn Mull is an architect by profession and began acrylic painting about six years ago. She excelled in sketching at University but felt her best area in which to grow was in the use of color. She has exhibited the last four years in the Lynne Shephard student show at the Lindsay Dirkx Brown Gallery in San Ramon, and just recently had a collaborative work accepted for the 2008 Ironstone Winery competition in Murphys. Her works are characterized by use of bright colors and often heavy texture, incorporating rice, sand, cheesecloth, and stucco to impart a feeling of movement and three-dimensionality. Her subjects are quite varied, but with an emphasis on still lifes and abstracts. She paints under
